Side Effects Software, an industry leader in procedural modeling, animation and visual effects software, is proud to release the Houdini 14 Sneak Peek. Houdini 14 is a packed release and includes user experience enhancements, point-based dynamics for creating wet and dry sand simulations, tools for building crowds and tools for grooming hair and fur. In addition, Houdini 14 includes the ability to build custom panel types using Python and PySide and a new modern embedded browser based on WebKit. More details will be available when Houdini 14 goes gold.
As of today, all Annual Upgrade Plan [AUP] customers will be sent their new Houdini 14 licenses along with instructions on how to install a production-ready release candidate. Artists using Houdini Indie and Houdini Apprentice will have access to the new release when it goes gold on January 15, 2015.
